The goal of the Together for a Drug-free Hungary Movement is to stop the increasing statistics of drug consumption and to revert the course which caused that druguse has become almost a „fashion” these days.

As some other problems of life always come before drugproblems, the real solution for it is to solve the problems of life.

We found out from the survey made among the youth that they use drugs very often only because they are bored or have nothing better thing to do.

This also means that many of them have no goals they want to progress towards, and they have no plans they work on.

And without goals a man is dead.

If we want to provide real help it is not enough only to knock out drug consumption but we need to put there something else instead.

We should propose alternatives for the youth whereby they can find joy, that means valuable sparetime and entertaining, and at the same time has a constructive effect on the people.

Such thing can be a meaningful and creative activity, that requires attention and actual action from the person practicing it.

Just as the Marathon for a Drug-free Hungary puts emphasis on sport, the Drug-free Hungary Creative competitions involve many types of arts.

Because the joy found in self expression is one of the highest level of joy, and it is no doubt that the joy which can be achieved through creativity knocks out the „false joy” of  drugs.

We must save the next generation, that understands art, from the inferno of drugs now.

Because a drug addict can look only inwards.

A drug addict will not understand, enjoy and appreciate art, because he can’t see the artwork, can’t hear the music, can’t see the colors and forms, and doesn’t understand the work itself.

A drug addict youth is never going to become an art fan!

But one of the foundation-stones of the future society is art!

So let today’s youth become artists, let beauty and pure ideas become valuable again!

Because every youngster is talented in something!

That’s why we organize each year the Drug-free Hungary Creative competition in one type of art.
